Ferdinando Nani Beccalli-Falco
President and CEO of GE Europe & North Asia
Ferdinando Nani Beccalli-Falco was named President and Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of GE Europe and North Asia in January 2011. He is responsible for directing GE's strategies for growth in the developed markets outside the United States by working to expand customer and government relationships and to develop new business markets. Based in Frankfurt, he is also responsible for building and leading a "One GE" approach in Germany.
Beccalli-Falco has enjoyed a long career at GE, starting in 1975 in the United States. For nine years, he served as President & CEO, GE International, where he successfully built GE's global team. Prior to that, he held leadership positions in GE Capital and GE Plastics in the United States, the Netherlands and Japan.
He also takes part in a variety of organizations as a board member or an advisor, including Germany’s Emmanuel Center Stiftung, Junior Achievement Young Enterprise, Trilateral Commission, Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) and Bocconi University, Milan.
A native of Italy, Nani Beccalli-Falco earned his MS in chemical engineering from the Polytechnic of Torino in Italy. In 2007, President Giorgio Napolitano of Italy, conferred on him the honor of Cavaliere del Lavoro (the Order of Merit for Labor), and in 2009, President Nicholas Sarkozy of France awarded him La Legion d'Honneur (the Legion of Honor).
