Kyungil Kim is a cognitive psychologist based in South Korea. He completed his B.A. and M.A. in Psychology at Korea University and his PhD in Psychology at the University of Texas-Austin. His research focuses mainly on judgment, decision making, problem solving, and creativity.
As head of the Korea Psychological Autopsy Center from 2014 to 2015, he contributed to addressing the problem of suicide in Korean society. He is currently Chairman of the Game Culture Foundation. His publications include A Psychology of Wisdom(2017) and A Satisfactory Life (2021). His recent research has examined the capabilities that will be needed to live life in the societies of the future, specifically with respect to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the metaverse, games, and feedback science.
