Professor, Hongik University Graduate School of Architecture & Urban Design Architect, Author of 『Space Created by Space』 and 『What Cities Live By』
YOO Hyunjoon is a professor at Hongik University Graduate School of Architecture & Urban Design and CEO of Space Consulting Group and Hyunjoon Yoo Architects. Following undergraduate studies at Yonsei University, Hyunjoon earned a Master of Architecture degree at MIT and a Master of Architecture with Distinction at Harvard University before going on to begin his professional career at Richard Meier & Partners Architect in New York. His most notable works include “Mug Hakdong” and “The Void.” Hyunjoon has been the recipient of more than 30 local and international awards and honors, including the Chicago Athenaeum Architecture Award and German Design Award. In addition to featuring in numerous Korean television shows, including the tvN show The Dictionary of Useless Knowledge and the KBS program Good Insight, Hyunjoon has published seven books, including 『Space Created by Space』, 『Where Do You Want to Live』, 『What Cities Live By』, and 『Modernism: A Hybrid of Eastern and Western Culture』.
