ShinDong debuted as a member of the all-male Korean pop group Super Junior in November 2005 after winning both Best Comedian and the Grand Prize at the the 9th SM Youth Best Competition in 2005. Known for their range of talents, from singing and acting to emceeing, Super Junior became global stars with their megahit third album “SORRY, SORRY” (2009) and continue to produce albums and feature in Korean entertainment shows, radio, musicals, and more.
Super Junior have achieved countless firsts since their debut, becoming the first Korean artist group with an album certified Gold in the Philippines, the first to maintain the #1 spot on Taiwan’s KKBOX Korean Album Chart for 148 consecutive weeks, and the first K-pop act to hold a solo concert in France, not to mention give a special lecture at Oxford.
Moreover, Super Junior’s SUPER SHOW concert series, the first of which was held in 2008 in Seoul, has become an unrivaled brand in its own right, performed for a total audience of 2.2 million people in countries around the world. Last May, the group blended cutting-edge technology with powerful performances for a special online show Beyond the SUPER SHOW, which wowed a global audience of over 123,000 viewers.
A natural entertainer known for his sharp wit, ShinDong regularly appears as an MC on a wide range of TV shows as well as radio.
